Other Yarns
Our kettle-dyed Shelridge yarns have their own precise “recipe” to produce close to the same shade every time and throughout your projects. But we like to experiment sometimes, dyeing small batches to try new and different colours or techniques. These beautiful results don’t quite fit into our regular lineup so we call them different names.

Mad Science is a technique which I dye once or twice a year. It was an “accidental” technique but after showing it to my regular KnitNight group and subsequently to a couple of stores that carry my yarn, I’m now reproducing the “accident” a couple of times a year in limited colours in DK and worsted weight. After the demands for more, I was going to rename the product but my knit buddies said “no”!!
If you’d like more information on Mad Science, please email me 🙂

OAK or One of A Kind is usually where I’m experimenting with a new colour or yarn.
